Christian Faculty and Staff Network gathering on 4/20 - Zoom call with Trillia Newbell

On Good Friday, it's always good and bracing to hear a classic sermon to be reminded that Sunday's coming

Join us on Wednesday, April 20, at 11:45 AM (done by 12:45 PM). We meet at the Baptist Campus Ministries building library (University Boulevard and 4th Avenue), and lunch will be served

On 4/20, can Peter and John's statement be true for us: "As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard" (Acts 4:20).

Meeting logistics

Trillia Newbell’s call will be on April 20. We'll Zoom with her from the Baptist Campus Ministry's conference room. Trillia is the author of the book we’re discussing, Sacred Endurance: Finding Grace and Strength for a Lasting Faith.

Semester schedule. Our semester schedule is at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1f8gdIycPWFZwhs7YFJ0_HW5p1I6ik_LY4NaLDkX7Pn8/edit?usp=sharing

  • It's $1 per meal, the best meal deal in town. You're welcome to be eating your lunch during the gathering.
  • You have the choice of paying by the meal or making a single payment to cover the semester.

Coming up

  • On April 27, our own Bill Keel will share thoughts on faith, astronomy, and science toward the end of the term. We'll meet in the Baptist Campus Ministry's conference room again.

These happened on the day of our meeting

  • 1529 Those participating in the Reformation were first called Protestants at the Second Diet of Speyer, a term derived from the Reformers' statement of challenge, Protestatio.
  • 1853 Harriet Tubman made a return trip to rescue other slaves.
